Reading China

——A Zi

In the east,

There is a soaring giant dragon,

In the east,

There is a nation like a giant dragon,

In the east,

There is a special kind of

Chinese characters,

In the east,

Amid great Chinese characters

Along with the world,

Let us read China.

Let's read China,

And use the ancestors' drilling

wood for tinder

To illuminate Chinese civilization

A perennial river.

Let's read China,

Along the texture

of the ancient oracle-bone inions,

Let's steer the historical long vehicle

To pass crossroads freely.

Let's read China,

At the birth of people,

The nature's kind said

in <three character primer>,

We should learn the reasons of life.

Let's read China,

And listen to the long bronze bells.

Together with Confucius and mencius,

Let's plant a few green willows,

And sit under

them to have a long chat.

Let's read China,

And survey the wind-rising

and cloud-scudding years.

With poets Li bai and Du fu

By some prune trees,

Let's talk on the ebb

and flow of of the tide.

Let's read China,

And use the miracle of

the four great inventions

To wake up the sleeping lions

on our chests.

Let's read China,

And pave a splendid silk road.

Let the world go,

Into the rich and beautiful

China of One Belt And One Road.

In the Tang poetry:

“Who said that a son

like a little grass can repay

His mother's kindness as warm sun ”,

Let's read China of the gratitude.

In the Song Lyric:

"May we all be blessed with longevity

And share the bright moon

far away ”,

Let's read the missing China.

In the smoke of gunfire

all over the sky,

Let's read sorrowful and tragic China.

In the west wind,

With the red flag waving,

Let's read the prosperous China.

Let us and our elders,

Read the old trees

in front of our gate;

Read the lights in fishing boats

on the river;

Read our old mother's white hair,

And read warm China

letting us shed tears.

Let us and our youngers,

Read the rise of China;

Read the renewed hope;

Read the force of unity,

And read the splendid China

letting our unity to be strength.

Read China,

And you will more and more love

This miraculous land.

Read China,

And you will be closer and closer

To every inch of

our mountains and rivers.

Read China,

And you will think of

fellow countrymen

as your infant name.

And you will shout from your heart,

Towards the east:

That I love you ,China.

在东方，有一条飞的巨龙，

在东方，有一个巨龙的民族，

在东方，有横撇竖捺的方块字，

在东方，大写的方块字里，

让我们，和世界一起，读中国。

我们读中国，用祖先钻木的火种，

照亮华夏文明，生生不息的长河。

我们读中国，

沿着甲骨文沧桑的纹理，

驾驭历史的长车，纵横阡陌。

我们读中国，在人之初，

性本善的《三字经》里，

学会做人的道理。

我们读中国，

聆听悠长的青铜编钟，

与孔子、孟子，

种几棵青柳，促膝长谈。

我们读中国，

纵观岁月的风起云涌。

与李白、杜甫，

隔几株老梅，论潮涨潮落。

我们读中国，

用四大发明的奇迹，

唤醒，胸口沉睡的雄狮。

我们读中国，

铺一条锦绣的丝绸之路，

通向世界，走进一带一路。

开放的中国，

我们在谁言寸草心，

报得三春晖的唐诗里，

读感恩的中国。

我们在但愿人长久，

千里共婵娟的宋词里，

读思念的中国。

我们在炮火连天的硝烟里，

读怆然悲壮的中国。

我们在红旗漫卷的西风中，

读繁荣昌盛的中国。

我们和长辈，

读门前的老树；

读江上的渔火；

读老娘的白发，

读让我们泪流满面的温暖的中国。

我们和晚辈，

读中华的崛起；

读复兴的希望；

读团结的力量，

读让我们众志成城的辉煌的中国。

读中国，你会越来越爱

这片神奇的土地。

读中国，你会越来越亲

这里的每一寸山河。

读中国，

你会想起乳名一样的父老乡亲

读中国，

你会发自肺腑地向着东方喊：

我爱你，中国。

作者简介&作品推荐

阿紫，著名诗人、词作家。现为中国诗歌学会会员、中国音乐文学学会会员、北京市语言学会朗诵研究会会员、北京音乐家协会会员。其作品的创作风格既有女子的温柔婉约，也有男人的豪迈激昂，以讴歌生命、吟咏抒情和励志感恩为主要题材，通过诗歌文字传颂人间的真善美。代表作品《生如胡杨》《我的雨巷》《和春天上路》《趁父母还在》《翻阅阳光》《如果有那样一个黄昏》《梦里梦外是江南》等已成为广泛流传的经典名篇。
